Beautiful Day for Fishing

 We got out of the house to enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday.  It has been quite cold here this past week so it was nice to have it warm up a bit.  We thought we better take advantage of it.  We went to one of our favorite local fishing places, of course we took a picnic lunch and of course we ate it on our way there.  Yummy sandwiches on homemade bread and chips.

 The beautiful fall colors were just starting to appear.  It was a gorgeous day.

 We caught quite a few fish, mostly brook trout. We used our 3-weight fly rods.  We used to have two but we have only had one for the last couple of years. We must have left one somewhere sometime and lost it.  So for Christmas this year Will bought me a new 3-weight fly rod.  It was a dream to cast.  It's nice to have a rod that is so lightweight.
