We celebrated Will's birthday at the end of March. We had a few days off work so we decided to go to Mountain Home/Boise for some fun. Will had a real estate showing in Grace the day we left so we drove that way and stopped a bit to check out the Bear River. It was a beautiful day. We live in such a beautiful area.
One of the highlights for Will's Birthday was eating at Tucano's with my parents. We had a birthday coupon for a free meal that we got to use. Mmmmmm....... It was delicious! The top sirloin, the bacon-wrapped turkey, the parmesan garlic beef, and of course the grilled pineapple.
And another reason we headed to the Treasure Valley is that Will found his "dream boat" on craig's list. that we needed to go buy and pick up. What a birthday present, huh?!
Mmmmm...Homemade waffles with jam and cream. So yummy and always requested when we visit my parents. Definitely rivals Tucano's.
We took the boat out on the Snake River for a spin. We fished but did not catch anything. We did see some deer and a coyote on the hill and lots of ducks. Again, the day was gorgeous. My parents were so nice to pick up the boat for us and drive us around. Not to mention storing the boat at their house until we can make arrangements to get it here, which will probably be them bringing it here to us the next time they come for a visit. They are the best!
We went to the Bruneau Sand Dunes and hung out for a bit. We were planning on using the boat there, but found out when we got there that it was electric motors only, so we just fished from the dock.
One of Will's other requests for his birthday was a flag football game with the family. So we were able to round up some of my nieces that live in Boise and my Dad for a game of flag football. It was a blast! We should definitely make it a tradition to do that when we get together. Once again we were blessed with beautiful weather.
I made a maple cake with caramel frosting for Will's birthday and we ate that in celebration. I didn't get a photo of it. It was so good we were all just eating, I guess.
We had a few couple of days and were totally spoiled with yummy food and fun things to do. And my parents driving us around everywhere.
