Our Christmas Letter 2008

Merry Christmas from the Sharp Family!

We know that Christmas is and should be all about Christ and centered on Him. That said, we wanted to share a few of our great memories from 2008 in a special way.

C is for cousins. We have had fun times with so much of our family this year. (Parents, siblings, grandparents, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, etc.) Just to list a few of the things we loved: Working in gardens and yards, baby blessings, Grandpa and Grandma Wilson’s 50th anniversary party, Sunday games with Grandpa Jensen, Sunday dinners with family, Thanksgiving with the Jensen family, fishing with nieces and nephews, finding out about new babies coming into the family, and keeping up with people through blogs. Families are great.

H is for Henry’s Fork fishing trip in September with our friends the Harris' and David and Jamie. This was fun to be able to catch so many rainbow trout on a fly. We definitely would like to go back up there next year. We love fly fishing!

R is for Real Estate. Will is a full time real estate investor and has attended classes in Phoenix several times this year learning how to make money in real estate investing. We are currently in the process of fixing up our first “fix and flip” home.

I is for Island Park in January with our friends Nancy and Victor. It was Heidi’s first time snowmobiling. Very beautiful scenery, tons of snow, and so much fun to be with good friends!

S is for Sawtooth backpacking trip to Toxaway Lake in July. We both had a very fun time, we caught quite a few brook trout, and got to see some pretty country. We remembered that we need to buy some camping items that don’t weight so much! What a fun tradition for us to go on a backpacking trip each summer.

T is for Teeth. Heidi still loves her full time job as a dental hygienist. Her news is that she got braces put on just a few weeks ago.

M is for Meets…wrestling meets and practices. We are fully immersed in wrestling right now. Will is head coach for West Side High School wrestling team and is enjoying it very much.

A is for ALASKA! We took a “2nd honeymoon” and spent eight days in Ketchikan fishing and sightseeing. We caught lots of salmon, (cohos and pinks.) There were so many salmon in the streams that they really did bump into our legs while wading! It was an awesome trip and we’ll definitely be going again sometime in the future.

S is for snow. We’ve got plenty of snow right now, so if anybody needs to come see what snow looks like, we’re open for visitors! We love to have guests. Since it is so cold and snowy, Will and Heidi have been tying a lot of flies to prepare for fishing again when it warms up again.

And that’s how we spell Christmas this year! We know that as we keep our lives centered on Christ we know that we will be blessed and that we can be with our families forever.

We wish you and yours all the best this Christmas and the coming year 2009! Drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you and keep in touch!

I didn't notice the cute card on your email attachment. Very cute! So did you get snowed in or not?!? I know the road from Burley to SLC was closed.
