One thing we were especially grateful for this Thanksgiving was lower gas prices. Since we had to drive quite a bit, it sure did help that gas was down below $2.00 a gallon to help with the travel expenses. It was great to get to see everyone, and Matt and Wendy (and family) have a new house that we hadn’t yet seen. It is their dream house, and is very cool! All of our nieces and nephews are growing and learning so much, and are way fun to be around! Part of the fun of being with them is that they seem to think that Aunt Heidi and Uncle Will are really cool, so we are pretty popular when we are around. We think they are all pretty cool too! We had never played Wii before, but got a chance to play at their house. It was pretty fun, especially the skeet shooting, tennis, and boxing. (Heidi really got into the boxing, and did really well at it!)

We went shopping Friday morning (late morning, not 3am morning), which was pretty fun, even if we didn’t buy much. We did get to go Cabela's and Sportsman’s Warehouse where we purchased some items for fly tying, and bullets for shooting. The not so fun part was the traffic and crowded stores. Mostly it was just good to get to hang out together so much this weekend. Friday night we went to Travis and Ninna’s where we had supper, played with kids, watched the BSU football game, and Ninna trimmed Heidi’s hair. (Will thinks it looks way hot!) Heidi loves loves loves the new haircut. It was in desperate need. Thanks Ninna! That night we went back to Heidi’s folks’ house, and we got beat in a game of Rook.
Saturday morning we got up, had breakfast, and headed back to Layton, UT, where Will’s
Grandparents Dennis and Vernetta Wilson were having the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary. It is so cool that they have been together for so long! It was fun to see aunts, uncles, and cousins. We visited quite a bit, and looked at lots of old pictures we had never seen before. One really funny picture was when they were newlyweds Grandma got a perm, and Grandpa did too. Isn’t it fun being young and in love, and being willing to do anything for your lover!!! We hope we never lose that! We have many great examples of how we should live our lives! Our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and so forth are great! We also have a knowledge of the greatest example of all. Christ is our perfect example, and even though we aren’t perfect, someday we can be through Jesus Christ! We wish all who read this a wonderful holiday season and hope that we can all remember more what life is all about! God wants us to be happy, true happiness comes from living the gospel, and living in peace, love and harmony with our families!

Is that Wendy's family's new house? Holy cow it's beautiful! I remember her saying that by selling their house in Seattle they could get a house that is like 3 times as nice in Boise. Mannnn I wanna move to Idaho now. LOL jk. But seriously so beautiful. Your Thanksgiving looked like so much fun with all your family there and stuff. Good times!
it looks like you guys had such a wonderful time! lots of food and family :)
My question is did Heidi know that her totally awsome boxing skills would be shown off to the world while she was playing? It looks like tons of fun. I always wait to get my hair cut until I go home. I'm glad you all had a good time.
I don't feel as bad now that we ended up doing Thanksgiving buffet style. I like the traditional round table with all of us together with all the food. But it was still okay! I can't believe how long your hair is! And it looks darker too. Probably because it's wet. How fun to spend time with family!
